The kids were sick... but not too sick to take out with strangers' kids! I brought the extra bottle of Purell and we watched their cousins fly through the air with the greatest of ease on the great trapeze. It was pretty neat.
Cara especially loved the water/light show that goes off every 30 minutes. We didn't get past this main entrance, but it was very cool.

Cara: "Look! It's a bird, it's a plane..."


Cara: "...oh, it's my cousin Kevin."
Amy: "My son Kevin!"

Christmas Morning

The kids were pretty sick Christmas, but it didn't stop them from having a great time. By Christmas Day Cara was feeling better, but Jack was getting worse. We wanted to get out to visit family but figured with all of the other little kids (cousins) it would be too risky for them. Typhoid Cara was kept home... and seemed to be fine with it -- a lot better than we were!

She woke up, got out of bed...
but dragging a comb across her head was out of the question.
There were toys to play with!
Maybe she is too young for coffee, but c'mon she clearly needs something!

Why pay the folks at Babys R Us all that money for kids photos? WE provide the most important part, the kids, right? We can do it ourselves, we thought... oh man, how wrong we were!

Thanksgiving Day (+1)

We missed good shots on Thanksgiving, so here are some from the day after.

At least they are still surprised by the camera... at least when they are just watching TV by themselves. You know, when we go out.

Discovery Zone

We hit the Discovery Zone in Londonderry this afternoon, which was very fun. Cara loved running around the two level padded maze, going down the slide, playing the musical toys, and generally being a nut. Jack liked the action and commotion. It worked out great and they are sound asleep now!

Halloween

We packed up the kids and headed to North Andover for some Halloween fun. Jack is supposed to be a horse, Cara a lamb. It was a beautiful night; almost so warm that Cara didn't need the wooly lamb suit with a hood to keep her warm, but whatever get in the monkey suit.

This reminds me of the kid from a Christmas Story who can't put his arms down... didn't he have to dress in a bunny suit too? We've made poor Cara is that kid.

The Best Jack Picture Yet

Okay, lots of posts in the last few days and I think this one may have gotten lost in the fray. Look how happy this kid is on his mother's lap! Santa will find this fun hard to top! Here it is again for those of you without a keen eye for handsome-itude-ness.

Now Wait One Apple Picking Minute

Okay, I admit it: it is much harder to get the camera out now that we have two rugrats. Jack is definitely cute and getting cuter by the day, there is no Cara bias... it is simply much tougher to stop him squirming when I am holding a camera. Still, special occasions or activites warrant an unpacking of the lens.

The whole Begley family went up to Apple Acres today. Brigid, Cara, Jack and I met the Andrews clan up there. We all had a great time. Cara loved picking apples, chasing Charlotte around, and picking out pumpkins.

Once the camera is out, it is open season the kids. I don't know if anyone actually yelled "that's a wrap" at the end, but it would have been appropriate.

Jack loves a good party... so he can catch up on his sleep. Aunt Maureen's 70th was one for the books: pony rides, clowns, moonwalk (bouncy castle), bluegrass band, face painting, balloon animals, and great food!
